Took dash apart on my Limited (someone owes me a Goose Island IPA):

1) lnfamous "Red Dots"

2) Picture with cluster removed:

3) Back of instrument cluster:

4) Speedometer close-up

5) Temp/Fuel close-up:

6) All parts:

If anyone wants the instructions for removal pm me - it's really easy and you only need a phillips screwdriver.

May do it in the future but over time dirt/grime had built up on the clear plastic shield and this thread was a perfect excuse to take it apart and give it a thorough cleaning (today's a day off for me). Plus, I figure it would be cool to help people out since I've gotten a ton of help from this forum.

The center part that holds the needle on the SR5 is a bad ass design. I wish they would have incorporated that throughout all of the other knobs and parts of the car.

Ive looked on ebay and CL for limited dash and havent seen one, yet.

I read about the swap somewhere, might have been on here. You would have to find one with the same miles or have the new cluster be sent off to be changed. I believe the location of the display and all is slightly off between the limited and other models so you cant just swap the faces.

KGB4187 ~ from what i've read on another forum, you can take it to a dealer and have it adjusted. they do this when they replace a cluster under warranty, the new cluster should be at "0" when installed and they correct it.

The few of us that want to swap are in search for the red dot (SR5/Sport >> Limited) which means we are swapping the entire cluster, not just the face.
