If you deflate it a little, you can close the hatch.

As what CSL started, if you do a seat bolt mod & change it out w/ a wingnut head, you can easily remove the rear seat bottom cushion.

This way you can fit a fully inflated mattress.

lol. fair enough. I plan on going camping/road trip and Im wondering if I should get a tent, or sleep in the 4runner...

Camping is camping. You have to do it in a tent, unless its below 20 degrees, then thats just seeing how fast you can turn blue. Then you may sleep in your 4runner.

I love camping but sometime we will be taking quick naps at night and I think it would look wierd if we put up a tent next to the road.

Thats nice KC . Great for camping. When I go with friends I stay in my truck instead of a tent .

I went camping years ago when I had the classic 85 S-10 Blazer. Actually an excellent 4x4 in my opinion.
I met friends at the site. Didn't feel like messin with a tent and fixed up the back of the Blazer. Naturally I was called every sissy name in the book. Except when the tornado's and hail and massive flooding came that night. Massive mud wash out the next day. Rangers came in to pull out people and make sure everyone was ok. I thought I'll give the little S10 a shot , well with the 2.8L v6 , firestone radial atx tires and factory rear locker and in 4lo , got out without a problem.

Now thats the only way I do it , set up the tent for daily lounging and activities . I'll have to look into that air bed. I usually put padding down but KC's idea looks a lot more comfy .

I usually just use the padding that I would use under a sleeping bag and lay it out and use a sleeping bag. I still do it once in a while but I wouldnt mind using a more comfortable setup....
