Pimp My Ride and an 05 4Runner

Next week on the show Pimp my Ride, I am 99% sure that they are going to be pimping a 2005 4Runner. They showed a preview for next week's episode and they end up buying a new car for the guy. He originally drove a rusted up 60's Ford sedan. They showed the interior and back and I am pretty sure it was a 4Runner they bought him. Make sure you all watch it next Sunday at 9:00 PM on MTV. I am so excited because West Coast Customs does some crazy things with cars. I hope this gives us all some good ideas on how to mod our 4Runners!!

Don't worry about it! I already set my TIVO and laptop to record it. I will post some pictures of it here next Sunday.
 
Don't worry if you miss it - remember it's MTV they will show it 20 times the following week and 40million times as a re-run!

My prediction- huge rims and little tires, 40 in plazma TV, 10 mini Tv's, overly loud system, and don't forget the lowering kit and ground effects, under glow lights. Just think of all the stuff a teenager would put on but can afford.

I like the show but they always go a different direction than i would if I had that kind of $. Pimps deck out what they have, not spend the extra $ on a better car/truck and keep it stock.
 
Nope, not scared, just excited. I don't care if they make it some ugly color. I just hope they go big, and not just from a media standpoint. I want to see some creative ideas that we can copy or at least dream of copying. However, if the SOB gets a new superchargered V8 I'll be beyond pissed!
 
I could care less if it turns out ugly or not...the 4runner is getting some air time!!! Dude, someone should find that person with the PIMPED out 4runner and bring them to this forum! I also liked it when they pimped out the old school land cruiser...it was mean and clean for me. I'm for sure watching it!
 
You'll probably be able to find it on ebay because it seems like that is what a lot of the people do immediately after. I saw the pics of that Land Cruiser and it did look really nice. I saw an episode a couple weeks ago with an old VW bus and it turned out great IMO and eventhough the color was bright, it suited the bus.

I thought they only "pimped" cars that were crappy to begin with. Darn maybe I should have tried for my wife's 4runner.

sometimes if a car is too messed up to fix, they start with a brand new one. the last time that happened they gave away a scion xB.

Yup. And when Xzibit got the Scion, he said he has friends at at Toyota/Scion dealer that can hook him up. From the preview, the guys car in the upcoming week made the other guy's car who got the Scion look like a Lexus!!
 
They should use that money to send these kids to school or something, not make their already worthless car look good while maintaining terrible resale value despite all of their efforts. I dont think Id ever let anyone mod my truck for me, takes away the spirit of the thing, thats why I do my own work. Hopefully they wont make the runner too bad and maybe we'll get a little street cred out of it all.
 
Looks like pimp my ride is on most of the night tonight. I searched the cable guide, and I don't see in show description anything about a 4Runner.

What kind of car did they bring in to start with?
