Hey Everyone,
I wanted to created this thread for the simple fact of I've encountered an issue with this HU, that with all the search online and thread I could do since last night and a little this morning I've found no one that's had this happen or solved this issue. Maybe I'm searching for wrong words but oh well. So here's what happened so far:
I just finished my install;which thread will be created for that later, and when I'm on my way back to my house everything is working just fine for past two days. (HU wise) Then when I get home and turn my car off, the HU display goes halfway down, as if it were about to go all the way down to take or eject a CD. So naturally I thought that I hit something by mistake and turn my car back on and try and turn the HU off or eject the CD inside. The screen goes back up to normal position, makes a noise, and BAM! goes right back to that halfway position. The screen displays a slot and cd symbol on the screen. :cry2:
Here is an image of what exactly it stays like...
I can not use any of the buttons on the front; right away, after a few minutes it will accept the EJC button, make a noise, screen goes back up, then right back down. Also the only button that will work on the remote is the previous and next track button. :ybrick:
So I emailed Pioneer and of course, I couldn't wait for a response, so I called them and talked to "Bob" and he said it sounded like a glitch and to remove the wiring harness for 30 minutes for the unit to reset (since this model has no reset button for the microprocessor). So I'm currently in the process of doing that at the moment. I just wanted this issue to be known and out there.
I also have a video of the back and forth games me and my HU play when it will actually accept the EJC button after a few minutes of being on.
