Is there any way to confirm with Pioneer that these guys are actual authorized dealers, not to say they're trying to pull a fast one, just for peace of mind.

Trust me guys Dan's store is legit, my store is only a few block away from his.

I have ordered PIAA stuff from his shop and have never had any problems.

In fact I have a order in on my K&N Cold Air Intake system.

Some manufacturer's warranty only if you have a install done professionally.... I'm sure all of us are professionals though..

That is a good price with the recent price drop by Pioneer. Most of my retail dealers around here are selling the D2 for around $830-850. I wonder if the Ipod adapter they offer is the Pioneer CDIB-100II or if it's a knock off Soundgate or Peripheral unit that doesn't offer all the functions of the Pioneer adapter. Also be aware of the warranty or lack of from buying the D2 from Cardomain.

Cardomain isn't an authorized pioneer dealer.

Here is a dead give away that a retailer isn't authorized...

Companies set a MAP... MAP = minimum advertised price. That means you can't advertise their product for any less than x amount of $. $849 for a D2 is well below map considering MSRP is around $1500. A good place to see map is Crutchfield.com.

Don't get me wrong... their product may be 100% legit and what not, but you don't get a pioneer warranty I guarentee you that.
