I'm try to ge a pioneer avic d1 for my 4runner.
what do you guys think?

don't know but I'm checking on ebay to see if I get 1 at a good price

With almost any headunit you can use a PAC-SWIX and get some control, but the delay sucks. Hardwire is the best. Some of the manufacturers are making their new headunits with hardwire remote inputs (Alpine).
