i cry for my generation...

anyway, if you have no off-road intentions then i would throw a stereo in it first. tint the windows etc. if you want to get in to suspension stuff there is a laundry list of options. with the lift comes new tires and the list goes on.

take it from someone your age...i would advise you to save your money for gas and be thankful for the vehicle you have.

X2 on the spacers and a lift,...

Dont mean to preach, but dont be one of THOSE teens that ignores maintaining the engine and puts crap rims on the ride, and air-bubbled-filled tint jobs. Id make sure the engine was good to go, or else you'll have the best lookin Runner on a flatbed.

How much you lookin to spend? A "16 yr old budget" doesnt mean much here. There's been some in here that have fat pockets (check that...MOMMY AND DADDY have fat pockets), or there's some that cant even afford to fill the tank.

If youre delivering pizzas on minimum wage, id get some Spidertrax spacers to start. There's even some for sale in the classifieds on the board i think. If you want to upgrade the stereo with a Scion T1809, that's a good start also.

Just make sure your tranny, diff's and fluids have been changed out at some point! BTW, V6 or V8?

im 16 also and i blacked out my trim and it made such a difference and im looking into a leveling spacers and spidertrax wheel spacers they are a great start in my opinion

Im 17 so I'm in the same position!

First thing i did was Plasti-Dip the wheels and emblems and such, but watch out because Plasti-Dip becomes very addicting to use!

Next was the Daystar 2.5/1.5 purely because it was the best mix of height vs money.

Next im looking to add spidertrax or all pro spacers, re-route the exhaust out the passenger side to get rid of the smell and possibly get a defiant light bar and a led bar up top with a cheaper roof rack.

Its all about looking around for the cheaper solutions. We all want the Shrockworks and ARB bumpers but the money is a bit out of reach for a high schooler!

If ya have any questions feel free to send me a message!

Madill i was on the edge about Plasti dipping my wheels and if it would look good with the Galatic Gray but after seeing yours i might just have to do it by the way it looks great

I plastidipped my wheels. 2 Cans, roughly 15 bucks. Gives the vehicle a whole new look and makes it stand out. I love the way they look.

I've got a stock grill waiting at home that I stole off ebay for a third of what they usually go for. I'm going to do the Satoshi grill mod which is largely more of a time/patience investment than it is money, and the results are very nice.

If you have a V8, you may look into upgrading the exhaust for a bit better sound. The prices I've been quoted are roughly $150.

Spacer lifts for Runners are also pretty cheap, like $150 tops if you install it.

If any of that is too expensive, get a job. :thumb3: When I was your age, I had to save up the money to buy things for my truck.
