Plannin to change my all my bulbs to leds..

Hey fellas,

As the title says, I'm planning on switching my interior/exterior bulbs to leds, more specificially:

License plate bulbs
Door side bulbs
Running boards
Map light and ceiling lights

Is there a service manual or some information on how to specifically remove each of these bulbs?

I realized tonight that my map lights dont come on with my interior lights when my door is open. is this normal? its an 05 sport.

also I think my main domelight is different than the one n JA's writeup, I have the rear-audio. Is there a write up for those of us with rear audio?

Normal, the map lights do not turn on when the doors are opened, even if the dome lights are set to "Door". One of the first things I noticed when I got my '04 Camry, compared to my '90 Toyota truck. The truck had a seperate switch to turn on the map lights when the door(s) are open.

Rear-audio was deleted for '06+ 4Runners, but IIRC, the manual details how to replace the dome light. I think it's in manual for rear seat audio too.

License plate:
There are two screws for each lamp, four total for both. Unscrew the two screws for each lamp. The lamp and it's housing should fall free from the license plate garnish. You may need to lightly pull/pry the clear lens from the housing. Pull the bulb straight out and replace.

Running boards:
Reach under the running board end caps where the lights are housed. The plug and socket will make a quarter turn (IIRC, counter clockwise). Pull the plug and socket away from the running board towards the wheel. There should be enough slack in the wire to work on the plug and socket. Pull the bulb straight out of the socket. Re-install in reverse order. It may be easier to lay on your back to get the plug and socket back into the running board housing. I got 3 out of 4 without having to lay on my back, but one of them refuse to go in no matter how hard I tried.
