plastic fasteners

I try to be careful and use the plastic pry tools but it seems like I can not remove an interior panel without breaking a plastic fitting. Do any of you put some grease or plastic specific lube on the fitting before you put them back together? If so, what do you recommend? I guess I am looking for something that will help it come apart when I need to take it off again.

Are you using the rightl removal tool, the one with the slot in it?

Plastic gets old and brittle over time. I sometimes break the tab and the fastener. Epoxy the panel tab and buy new clips. EBay is where to get the clips.

Look for interior tools on amazon. Think the tools cost around 30 bucks? They will help reduce the amount of fasteners you need to replace. Plastic does get brittle over time but the right tool for the right job helps too.
