Is there even a downside to becoming a vendor?
Other than you might be held to higher standards.

The standards around here have become hit or miss...

The problem has been the MODS don't respond to my requests to become a vendor.

Cant be a vendor if I cant find out the process! Mods should be paying more attention to over 600 customers being burned by a "vendor"

I haven't ever received a pm about becoming a vendor.

I didnt send you a PM. I followed the link and filled out the request form in the "how to become a vendor" thread.

I haven't read anywhere that I needed to PM a mod.

I did not try to avoid the rules in the slightest bit. Who ever is supposed to reply to the vendor request dropped the ball. Everyones feeling are hurt because Im standing up for myself and letting everyone know how poorly this has been handled.

Still no Vendor info and counting....

I am trying to get to the bottom of it. I can assure you my feelings aren’t hurt by this but can tell you that showing your ass isn’t going to help the situation

I can assure you that this should have been handled differently from the start. You shouldn't have been so quick to tell everyone that I'm not playing by the rules. Talking about showing your ASS!!!

I am not going to get in it with you. I suggest you relax while i try to get this figured out.

First, if his threads where all deleted or closed by not following the rules it's a disservice to this community. He spent time and money to come up with a few products to fill some voids. There solid and he's solid.

Second, what exactly are the rules? Does any member that chooses to make products and sell them on this site have to obtain vendor status? He started out fairly small a few months ago and grew pretty quickly. That growth wasn't by accident. He makes a superior product to anything currently available. Demand was high and he stepped up to not only fill it but also to expand his product line. You guys would be lucky if every vendor you have is as good of a guy as he is.

I hope it gets sorted soon.

THISSSSS....

From my perspective, it’s really messed up to just delete all threads from this guy because the MODS woke up one day and just decided he was breaking the rules, without seeking to understand or reach out to him before “they” did that. Btw, who is taking responsibility for deleting his stuff without reaching out to him? I'm glad momo.75 is being a respectful MOD and is fixing this in a speedy and diplomatic fashion. Plastics guy has came out with some awesome products that elevate the 3rd Gen experience on this forum. The front diff bushings is one example of something no one else has done and its for the benefit of all of us. I can think of many members here that are not quite "vendor" level but use this platform to promote and sell their product with no consequences. And while I'm on this rant, do we want vendors like pelfreybuilt on here that will just take our money and run? At least Plastics guy performs as a "vendor" should and delivers on his products.

So let's be democratic in this situation.

I have 1 vote to bring back all of Plastics Guy's threads and not punish him for trying to be a vendor. Whatever mod is in charge of Vendor acceptance needs to be removed, not Plastic Guys threads.

Ah, I should have been a bit more respectful. I understand as a moderator you probably are bombarded with a hundred issues a day and 95 of them are simple cookie cutter type issues.
As I believe you now understand, this is a bit unique and I believe I was following the rules. I have not been able to find any rules I've violated and I have asked for Vendor information well before I was an anybody because I wanted to help support the forum. I also asked again for vendor information early this morning and have not received any confirmation or info.

I apologize for treating you like the mod that made the decision in the first place, you deserve better than that.

Which ever way this goes I appreciate your time looking into all of it.

Thank you guys for helping me out! I know the Mods don't know me at all and its been great to have so many heavy hitters speaking up that have got to know me over the recent months.

Looking like momo.75 is working on the issue, You guys all make great points that are valid and im sure simple reason will prevail.

Lets all be extra nice to momo.75 because I didn't start things off showing my best, LOL.

I am much calmer after seeing everyone's support :)

If the process has changed you should probably change this thread before you start deleting threads that have really useful info and are not just spamming threads - http://www.toyota-4runner.org/official-vendors-sponsors/76895-become-sponsor-advertiser.html

We like Plastics Guy. He designs and makes really good stuff and collaborates well with forum members, myself included. I have bought/tested many of his products. Payments, shipping, communication is all very professional. He's setting the bar for product development on T4R.
