Playlists on Entune?

I'm pretty new to the whole "digital music" thing. Since I bought my new 4Runner I'm getting into it. I've put some of my music on a USB flash drive, and that works fine except that it only plays the songs in alphabetical order (or by artist, etc).

I have a lot of old "mix tapes" that I would like to recreate in digital format so I can listen to them in the 4Runner. But if I put them on a flash drive they won't play in the desired order. So… what do I need to play a mix of songs in a specific, non-alphabetical order? Do I have to get an iPod or something?

Depress the random button. Works a lot easier than an ipod

That just plays the songs at random. I want a specific order.

That’s what I had to do. iPod connected via USB cable. Select ‘Random.” Hope that it works!

I use ipods for this in both my cars. It's just the easiest way, usb sticks suck for viewing and organizing. Ipod costs more, but its just so much less of a headache for me

My wife’s iPod has BlueTooth but I couldn’t get hers to work right using BT. It would just play two or three songs over and over. After connecting it through USB it would also cycle through a playlist. I also tried a USB stick. Not only did it just repeat songs over and over…I thought the fidelity was noticeably lower. (I never thought about alphabetical order or by artist! Could be that’s what it was doing.)

There are some things I don’t understand about Entune….Maybe it’s just me! :shrug:
