Last and final update: we chickened out of getting a new car. We decided instead to send our kid(s) to day care until preschool. Thus, for my son, it will costs us about $900/month, which is a car payment.

Well, we're back in the market. My wife had a not so pleasant experience this past weekend driving the Corolla at night in the rain...so, we're back in the market.

We're down to two vehicles:

1. 2009 Camry V6 XLE fully loaded with everything including NAVI: $32,884 (= invoice + TTL).

2. 2009 Acura TSX (base model, no NAVI): $29,700 (= invoice + TTL).

I like the Camry for it's power, roominess, trunk space, and nice quiet comfy ride. The TSX has the HIDs, memory seats, and better handling. Difference of $3k can buy a lot of stuff.

For a family car, I would have to say the Camry is more practical. You can't beat the performance of an Acura though. The steering is amazing on those cars.

Yup, we got the Acura tonight. Price out the door = $29,804.32. This includes window tint, all-season rubber mats, trunk rubber mat, and door edge guard.

Color: Silver and taupe (light gray).

BTW, the HIDs on the Acura is amazing!!
