Hi everyone, i have an 01 3.4L SR5 runner and i ALMOST friggin finished -_-

i really need the help of an expert. I went to install my footwell LED's today using the dome (+) for power and grounding it at the dome light's (-) trigger at the A-pillar as well. The lights are in parallel power from the dome (+) and all ground at the same (-) trigger wire at the A pillar. Long story short i carelessly shorted the main power supply (that i added) and now none of the footwell lights kick on. overhead dome light doesn't work on "door" either but works in "on" position. clock, radio, etc seem to work fine. A small bit of smoke was steaming from the steering column at signal switches just behind steering wheel. However, brights, signals and wipers are functioning properly. Even tho radio and clock are working i checked all my fuses just in case. I am having a hard time tracing back where it shorted. I was hoping that one of you gurus would be willing to help point me in the right direction.

I'm really bummed about this ordeal because it only happened when i was done and decided to add a switch in last minute :crybaby:

thanks for the reply!

Its always the basics we tend to overlook. I'll be sure to check my relays. I appreciate the response!
