Plug and Play Rear Camera Override Dongle

I'll order that video dongle right now and test it out if you like. I think it's wise to make it the way you did - just plug and play for people to set up their own unique setup for, as there are likely to be a lot of different camera/input setups and this is a first step for all of them.

I assume all the 14+ are the same regardless of what ever models you have? Jbl,non-jbl etc. I have a Limited.

i'm in on the video harness. What camera do you recommend?.
I am using the camera below for my fton facing camera and it is working out well for me. There may be other options but this one is working perfect.

I just ordered a 28P dongle for my incoming 2016 4Runner TEP. Previous discussions included needing to know what nav/audio, but didn't see such choices on your web site, so I assume one dongle works with all 2016 4Runners?

My 4Runner isn't in yet, so I don't know what color the switch lighting is. The AOB options are green, amber, or green w/red led. What comes closest to the OEM switches?

the 2014+ have blue lighting so i would get the blue switch. AOB has them, they may just be out of stock. Shoot them a message and they will let you know when they will be in.

awesome. I'm interest in the video toggle when it passes the test. So you will be selling the harness plus the switch?
If I want the rear camera on anytime, I just get the current harness you have on the site or will the video harness do both?

The rear camera override and the Aux video are two separate dongles. The wires are not in the same harnesses on the truck (who knows why). The aux video dongle will not work without the camera override dongle or other modifications.

FYI, AOB appears to be out of all blue switches for the 5th gens.
Here is a link to one from Amazon that is available in blue and will fit. I talked to them earlier and ordered. The dimensions in the images are the same as the AOB ones. No affiliation and not sure of the quality until I get mine.

I have used ch4x4 switches and they seem to work fine. I was not able to find one that fits the 5th gen but it seems like this is it. I would double check with the seller.
cool. I just placed an order for the rear backup camera tongle
now time to find a switch. I already order the front camera on amazon so can't wait until you get the video dongle ready Similar threads
