Thanks, that's got me curious. Our trucks are closer in year and I swear my 4x shifter is in a different position. I'll take a pic after the magic kick the cavs as5 let's see some more 1st gen pics plz !!

Here's a shot of mine, tc in h2, trans in reverse.
Doesn't it seem.awfully different?? I had one with trans in 2nd gear but my cpu wouldn't let me save it after residing it....
Input please , what makes the two , in the same gears , look so different? Sorry if its.something stupid, but I swear I've noticed it a lot when looking at others shifter shots....

And PLEASE pardon the dirty dirty interior, I vacuum it, but haven't started to make it.my own yet, go.easy Hahaha, yes its the beloved red (which I've grown fond of)

it looks like you have a transmission for a forward shift transfer case and it was converted to a top shift transfer case . because there so far apart.

I think I would like my 85 like that cause when I try to go into reverse they practically hit each other there so close

I never have had any issues with it, I just noticed it looked different than most other pics I saw. How would I go about figuring out if what you said is the case or not? Serial #s prob? I'm the 4th owner of this truck and I know one of the po's was mod prone.... so WTH is this? Thanks for adding 85toy, appreciate it

take off the shifter boot and check if you have a block off plate on your transmission
