PNW Easy Offroad Day

Hey All,

While I've been a 4runner owner for a while, I've never actually gotten to take it off the roads and on some real trail runs! Anyone want to consider having a small PNW meet-up somewhere and have some fun! Show off your rigs, your ideas and enjoy some muddy times!

Some suggestions about where we can go would always be appreciated!

Let's get something going!

Hey there! You know, for whatever reason, Washington folks aren't super active on this forum. In this PNW area, I usually only see Oregon peeps.

Myself and a buddy will probably be taking our rigs out to the Cle Elum area towards the end of the month. He has a 2007 Tacoma and I have a 2007 Runner. Both our vehicles don't really have mods so the run would really be more Forest Service roads. There can be some rocky and rutty spots and some twisty narrow areas, but nothing too challenging. I'll keep this post in mind and update you.

Yeah, this is not an easy thread to find, never been in this section before. I'm down to meet though. Some 5th gen guys and I have met before and want to meet up again and get out. When are you thinking?

Also, depending on where you and your buddy are located, there is the Mountain Loop Highway. Many forest service roads that way, it's just past Lake Stevens and Granite Falls.

I am down for a meet up and some "light duty" off roading! I am in Lynnwood as well and Saturdays (actually I work every other Saturday :sobbing work the best for me. It would be nice to meet up with some locals!

Awesome. Nice to see people talking! Definitely wanna get something set up. I'm not off every Saturday or Sunday, but who knows. And if someone knows of some good FS roads nearby or more local, that's cool as well. I know Mountain Loop has some stuff, but I also hear quite often that you run into gated up roads or blocked entrances. If someone knows of some good spots, I'm all ears. The areas I like to visit in Central WA are a good 1.5 to 2 hours away from the Greater Seattle Area. And Mountain Loop is probably more like 45 mins to an hour away for must of us Seattle to Everett people.

Tahuya!

Hey all. I have been trying for a while to meet up with some people to go wheeling. I live near Mukilteo and have been to Walker Valley and Tahuya a couple times each. Tahuya can be accomplished in a stock rig quite safely and easily. The nice thing about it is the trail system has many branches that are available for all levels. I am always game to go play!

I am down to meet wherever as well and whenever! The end of the Month I might be headed up to Canada for the weekend (most likely weekend of the 27th) so we can always go before or after that. I'm pretty flexible in Meeting area, I like in Bellevue so and more than happy to meet wherever! Awesome to actually get some people out onto the thread, oh, and we can't forget about [MENTION=20116]darkie3495[/MENTION] !!!!

I'm in as long as it's not the 27th. As twchapel311 mentioned, tahuya can be accomplished in a stock truck as long as you pick the right trails. Some service roads sounds fun as well. There are a bunch along hwy 2 and I-90 if you don't mind some pinstriping.

I've been to evans creek before and it was pretty fun. Are there trails for stock trucks? The group of us that went didn't know where to go so we ended up on trails that wouldn't be considered "stock friendly" or paint friendly.

evans and elbe are not so much stock or paint friendly .... theres some nice driving up in capitol forest area around Olympia tho

Seems like most that have responded to this thread are able to meet on a weekend and that Saturday is the preferred day.

I say we just pick a date on a Saturday, who ever can show shall, then pick another date in November to meet up again before the weather gets too crappy. And another after it gets crappy and we can go play in the snow.

Time: 1000
Location: Tahuya (I have personally never been but, everyone that has says it's great for stock, and is paint friendly)
Park Fee: Discover Pass

Few of us up north, I'm in Lynnwood. So we can meet and cruise over (via ferry might be faster) to Tahuya.

Been many a thread and post talking about meeting, and no action… Lets do this!
