Points to measure vehicle lift?

Where are the most accurate points to measure a 4runners lift. Example frame to floor behind front wheel and frame to floor in front of rear wheel.

I was thinking of measuring from lip of fenders to floor but I don't think that would be accurate or representative.

The most accurate way is to measure from the center of the wheel to the fender area on each wheel on a level surface. This measures the actual sprung/lifted height of the truck regardless of the tire depth and pressure.

I generally find it pretty easy and accurate to put the tape measure on the wheel/lip at the bottom and then straight up through the center of the hub and read the distance at the fender. This removes the need to try to hold the tape measure in the center of the hub.

But honestly, it doesn't matter where you read - as long as it is the same for all measurements before/after.

On my to do list tomorrow more careful measurement. I do have 44 psi in all four tires because it reduces the wandering feeling of vehicle.

With vehicle as it sits the rear is 2 7/8" higher than the front. Will I need different control arms if I lift it 2 1/2 to 2 3/4"

No "need" for UCAs, but it might help you get your caster to a more ideal +4 deg. I lifted ~2" up front and with the LR UCA ball joint @ +2 caster, I was able to get the total caster to +4 with some adjustment left on the LCA cams. However I think you might have trouble hitting +4 caster with stock UCAs at over 2" lift?

Clearance wise though it's a non-issue, I drove around with the lift and stock UCAs for a few weeks while the springs settled, no problem at all.
