Just searching around while stuck in training his week and I think I found the lightest tires (P285/70/17) @ 44lbs & $164/per

Kumho ROAD VENTURE AT KL78

However the websites aren't showing me wheel weights. I know one of the guys here run steelers and he mentioned them only being a pound lighter than stock iirc.

Are there any rims out there that are significantly lighter than stock?

20.3 lbs - that's decent.

The Ray's Wheels,Volk TE37's are the lightest,at 18lbs for the 18x9's ,that I found that will fit our 4Runners and are Made in Japan . They are about $8-900 a piece and have to be special ordered with a long wait time. Yes, was wondering if anybody would bring up the volk... I bet it decreases the 0-60 by about 0.000001 x 10^97. Lol. For 3k I was willing to tote around my extra 2.xlb wheels. Lol. They are sexy though!

A lot of people on here, myself included, are running the Countersteer wheels from FN Wheels. It's arguably the lightest wheel for an affordable price. It really helps when pairing with tires. I'm willing to bet that guy with those VOLKs isn't beating on them in the woods either like some of us tend to do.

I would have cried when I got the first rock rash. All of mine have kissed rock so far except my spare.

Yep! They sure don't look like when I first took them out of their boxes lol. The paint inside the hub on them has all completely flaked off.

The kumho 285s above seem to be the lightest at 44lbs. Have you seen anything lighter?

You guys are too simple minded. It's not just about weight. It's about strength and weight. There is no free lunch.

Make sure your wheels are load rated for your truck and tires.

Where the weight is located relative to the axis of rotation matters, too. If you went with a 5 lbs lighter wheel and a wider, 5 lbs heavier tire, you are going to feel more sluggish acceleration despite the wheel/tire combo staying the same weight. I was really unhappy with the stock size silent armors I put on my 4Runner. The must have been a much heavier tire than stock because you really felt the extra weight. If I were buying tires again, weight of the tire would play a much higher role in my purchasing decision. Unfortunately, apples to apples weight comparison for tires seems impossible to get hold of. I'm trying to figure out what wheels and tires to buy for my FR-S and I'll be damned if I can find weights for many tires.

I could be just me, but I believe we all assumed the op was asking about wheels that were appropriate for the vehicle but lighter than stock. I know the ones mentioned were properly load rated, have correct offsets and back spacing and fit.... Blah blah blah.

The tire weight is ,as said more important to the rotating mass but the lighter wheels help ,if nothing else then to make it easier on my back when I take them off/on or rotate them.

The tire weight considered is all relative to where you plan on taking them too. Light 2 ply sidewall tires wouldn't survive on the rocks where I've been and going and why I personally choose E-rated 3 ply and haven't been let down yet. I can afford the gas or I wouldn't have bought a 4Runner for wheeling .
There were cuts,nicks ,chunks missing all over my KM2's when I sold them at 30k miles and still good to go and sold them for $400 on CL.

I'm not sure on the tires. Just find some ratings and reviews and usually you can find out the information regarding weight from those. Check out Tirerack.com. Choose what tire you want to look at, click on specs, and there you can see the weights of the tires.
