The poll is anonymous folks and it is just feedback. 90 views and 2 votes .... Don't be afraid to vote.

It seems a bit redundant.

I was assuming that the site was not fully operational yet though. Still some odd behaviour going on with it.

Is this thanks feature something they actually wanted to implement?

The poll wording is biased. Does anyone say thank you after you've paid someone for a service they have provided? I usually do. Same here...for me. I voted (at least for now) lol.

Not a big deal either way, but I can see some benefit to both (for us analytical dorks).

For example, new users just getting to know those of us who have been here might find it easier to identify who is more knowledgeable/helpful based on past "Thank-You's", whereas a user with more "likes" might suggest that person tends to provide more entertainment value than technical assistance.

I dunno, just a thought that popped in my head. Nothing to lose sleep over. If I had anythimg better to do at the moment, I wouldn't have bothered to comment on it. :D

Well I can assure you it exists on the website and there are votes :)

Perhaps try the actual website and not a 3rd party app.

.

I do, but most of the time I browse forums, this one or otherwise, it's via the app because I spend all day on a computer at work and don't much feel like looking at one at home. Just letting you know why you possibly had a lot of views but not a lot of votes.

Thanks. I wish there was some way to fix that but I think it has to do with either the site or the app.

I can see reasoning for both but I’m not sure they’re both necessary. Who included this feature during the upgrade?

I like the idea of thanks. It gives a bit more insight to those who post helpful writeups (assuming people who use their writeups actually click the thanks button) compared to those liking pictures and other such commodities.
