Poly sway bar bushings?

I've been hunting around for a few days to no avail for poly swaybar bushings. These are super popular on early gens and should make the truck handle better.

It seems like nobody makes them for the 10+ 4runner which I find really odd but perhaps I missed something.

I am also curious if anyone has tried bushings from another gen on our sways. I'm going to measure mine tonight and see if anything might work.

I would love to hear from the forum if anyone else has had the same thought, search and what your results/findings were on this topic.

I haven't tried them on my T4R but I had some on my WRX and was very pleased. I can tell you that they are a very well respected brand in Subaru circles out of Australia. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Whiteline product.

Toyota makes great suspension components.. I think you are only going to notice a difference when you compare worn bushings to new ones....

Poly vs rubber is a very different feel. Lots of 4th gen guys rave about them as well. Toyota makes good stock suspensions that last a long time, I want more than they offer.

Do you have KDSS? If so -those are the wrong ones - and I would not use Poly bushings. They will not have sufficient flex to work well.

I dont have KDSS so no worries there. Not sure what you mean by "flex"... the point is to hold the sway bar tighter in place to reduce body roll. Its only felt at higher speed turning, should be indistinguishable offroad at slower speeds.

You and me both, lets compare notes my friend. Maybe its the poor man's KDSS LOL, note the rears have a bit of lead time, fronts are in stock.

***Just ordered front and rear. Will update thread with feedback on the fronts, hopefully they ship soon and not together with the rears.

We probably ordered at the same time. I actually called them right after I ordered, since I noticed that the rears were listed as greaseless but the fronts were not. I figured if they had to special order the rears, maybe they could special order greaseless fronts, but no such luck. For whatever reason, Whiteline only makes the greaseless ones for the rear.

Have on son's 05 work well make sure use grease liberally (squeak) ! Front was easy on 05 rears were not so much , lotta shit in the way so makes it awkward !

When you say "work well" can you elaborate? Better turn in, on road?

Yes tighter ! Currently running 275s with sequoia splits w/spacers so it was important to me for him to have it be solid ! And yes thru tight corners feels more stable & stays on the ground ! We drive kinda of fast (my bad)

I have them on a 14 Trail. Work great and increased sway bar response. Noted flatter in turns and less pushing from high winds.

I think if you took a look at KDSS you'd understand. Poly is a no go. The joints require far more flex than poly would allow. It's s lot different from the normal sway bar mounts.
