Portable Jump Starters?

Any recommendations on portable jump starters. i have a 4th gen v8, and was looking at the Noco Genius boost GB40, which supports up to 6.0L but was wondering if i should get the GB70 instead or if anyone has any other portable Jump starter recommendations.

I have a GB40.
It's awesome and nice to have for "just in case" moments.
I've used it a few times on a large 4 cylinder (2.4L) but have not had the need to use it on my 5th gen yet. I've also started a Hyundai Santa Fe.
 
I also have the GB40 for emergencies. Never had to use on the runner but I have used it on my Z since it sits in the garage most of the time

Yeah i have the 4.7L which should be fine with the GB40, but was wondering if i should get the gb70 incase, but its almost double the price.

I have a different one that seems to have all the bells and whistles. Just another option. Haven't needed it yet, but it goes with me on trips. Says it will handle up to 6.5L gas, less in Diesel.
 
I've had a Gooloo 1000A for a year or so and have been very impressed. It's started my 4.0lt 8 times on a single charge and then run other campsite accessories with no problem.
 
I also have the GB40. Actually just used it. Was impressed because not only did it work perfectly, but it has been sitting in my car for over a year with no charging. It was also perfect because the person I helped out was in a parking lot where getting to the battery with jumper cables would have been a pain, if it was even possible.
 
Yeah im just hoping the GB40 will have enough power for the 4.7 when needed, i know it says 6.0L but sometimes you can just never trust that
 
man, I've been looking for months at these things. I finally just went with the NOCO GB40, got it from amazon for about $80 and $15 more for the hard case and it actually came yesterday. I figured out of the 4000 people that rated it, 75% gave it a 5 star rating, so why not.. the one thing I don't like about it is it doesn't come with a wall charger. you can buy a usb wall plug in. I have an extra iphone one so i'm using that right now, it is getting a little warm (the iphone usb wall plug, not the jumper). I had 2 sears diehard ones in the past. bought one, it went bad, returned it, they gave me a new one and it went bad in a few months too. but both were junk and sears closed up around here so I have nowhere to return it too, that's why I went for the NOCO

Best Budget: DBPOWER Ultra-Compact Portable Jump Starter

I bought this because my car battery died as the light was left on one night. I'm not a car expert of any sort and didn't want to call my insurance to have someone come jump start it, so I bought this battery. It arrived and I think it was 75% charged so I needed to charge the battery before I headed out to jump start my car.

Instructions were easy to follow and my car was up and running. 2 days later I had to jump start the car again as I guess the car battery wasn't fully charged, and since I left the DBPower battery in the glove box I used it again without any issues. With 2 jump starts, the DBPower battery is still around 100%.
 
I have both, one stays in the car & one for the ATV & motorcycle trips (smaller GB40). Used the big one several times without issues.
The problem with NOCO is the power button protrudes & I've found the smaller one ON twice while bumping around on my ATV. Other than that, they both work fine & are high quality. I do remove it from my trunk bag in the summer in Houston because of the ridiculous heat down here due to batteries overheating or catching fire.
I think they're all made in China now, so it's probably just good marketing that makes NOCO more popular.

I believe it will automatically turn off after 7 hours.
 
I have the Antigravity XP-10 and have been very happy with it. Not only has it jumped many cars but also ran my fridge while at a park and runs my dad’s CPAP machine all night.

I picked Antigravity over other brands as it came with high ratings from a few different places when I was researching them. Here’s one of them:

I've only had mine about two years, but so far it's holding up just fine. Last summer I had to use it to jump start my 4Runner in the middle of nowhere, Nevada. Started it right up and still had a full charge.

Thanks for the reply. I have been eyeing one of these and wondered how they were holding up.
 
Bring this back from the dead. I bought a GB40 in March 2016. I charged it, put it in the compartment behind the second row seats and never touched it until today.

I was waiting in the car while my wife was at a Dr appt. I had the radio going for over an hour and thought I should start it up. Too late, dead battery.

I pulled out the Noco and started my 4Runner right up. it was at 25% charge after the jump. That is 6 years since I charged it! I made sure to charge it back up when I got home.
 
Wow, good to know!

I got a GB40 when they were half off for Black Friday 2021. It can start my slow and ancient 350 SBC numerous times despite theoretically being able to only do it a of couple times…and then have enough power left over to be topped off in an hour.

At the very least it’s peace of mind to have one.
