Thanks guys! Due to my type of work I only know if I can wheel a week in advance as of right now. In a couple months things will settle down and I'll have the weekends off but as of right now its pretty hit or miss.

I'm definitely interested in doing a trip. I have only been to Brown's Camp one time so I would love to get out somewhere new with some people that have a little more experience. Weekends work best for me too so long as I have a week or so heads up and can ask off work.

Ive never wheeled in OR so Im in dire need to go!! However, i have done a TON of wheeling in CO. Ive heard great things about browns camp, dont know what "tsf" is so ill keep it to the other guys on deciding on where to go.
Very stoked to go! Gonna point my 4th gens friends this way

tsf is Tillimook State Forest, thats where Browns Camp is at. there are a lot of places to wheel here in OR but i have only been to a few of them and mainly out in TSF. but you can basically drive all the way to the coast with out touching pavement if you know all the roads(i do not yet) just make sure you have the off road permits for either Oregon or Washington before you(we) go, they will ticket you and its like $200+ vs $15 for the permit.

hey does anyone here work at a tire shop like either les schwabs or america tire or firestone...? my runner is in need of some new truck shoes.

Yes you should get an off road permit now that you are in oregon. The cost is minimal for a 2 year permit. Available at most offroad shops.

The next three weekends SUCK for me, but after that I should be good. Also at this point, I'd be down to take a day off work to roll if a mid-week trip was looking like the best solution.
Also, earlier in the thread there was talk about a place to wrench/meet and maintenance; I know Doug (A10Mile) and Nate (Techman17) have both been to my place a few times for some wrenching activities; if anyone is interested I'll offer my place up.
Looking forward to getting this trek onto some dirt!

Keepin this thread fresh 
I have been looking around for places to go but all I end up with is logging roads with very few "trails". :moping: I have never been to Browns Camp. I'm assuming we would have to wait for "spring" to actually come before it thaws out and/or dries up some? I'm all for some muddy fun... but having never been there, I don't want to risk anything.
I have very minimal recovery gear as of yet and I hate having to rely on others to save my a**... I am all about good karma and group support and will always help anybody who needs it, but hate being in that position myself.
I am still trying to figure out which days are best for me and would love to at least narrow it down some, so whattaya say?
Criera, would you be comfortable enough to guide us around at Browns Camp sometime? If so, throw out a date that may work best for you and hopefully we can all work it in to our busy schedules
