X2 also looks like its been dumping snow up at larch mtn. I want to go play but no one will go with.

Friday morning I was up at the gravel pit on Larch. There was a good amount of snow. I heard there is a lot of snow up further. I may venture up there tomorrow

man ryan, im supprised you still go up there when there is snow... considering last time what happened and what we saw... i know that i wont be going up there in the snow when the rest of vancouver goes up...

I've been going there mid-week and haven't had any problems. I did go up late one night and had some similar conditions as last year but I didn't run into any problems.

Yea, a lot of people start showing up there after 11pm. I may head up there tonight. There's usually a Bon fire up there to warm up.

I had one up there last saturday near the radio towers but it was a complete blizzard so it didn't last long.

I stopped going up at night after almost rolling off a cliff with a buddy. In that same night my buddy put his chev 2500 into a ditch hard almost rolled right before the main gate. good thing my uncle lives right at the entrance of the mtn to get us to saftey.

I don't like going up there without a second rig. You never know what might happen. I've been up there when you can't see beyond the hood and if we were to roll off the mountain we probably wouldn't be found until day light.

Is that the tool to compress the timing belt tensioner? If so you can compress it without the tool. I placed mine between the 4runner frame and my floor jack and slowly compressed it until I was able to put a pin in there to hold it compressed in place. A bench vise or hydraulic press would work as well.

couple of years ago when i replaced my timing belt i couldn't get the bolt out of the crank shaft pulley, i tried all sorts of things, even bought a new impact gun, nothing, put it back together and paid Toyota ~300$ to do it! i'm still pissed off about it! :crybaby:

What kind of terrain are we looking at? Is it just snow covered dirt trails, or are they technical?

I'm thinking just snow covered dirt roads for the most part. Nothing too extreme.
