Possible Suspension Issue - 5th Gen TP

Hello everyone,

I have a 2016 TP that I purchased back in November 2016. When I first purchased the vehicle, everything was balanced and level, in terms of suspension height. About 5 months in, I started to notice that the front started to come down and the rear, I might be crazy, started to go up? Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please explain so that I know I'm not losing my mind. Please reference the pictures below. Thanks in advance.

Well, it looks like you put bigger tires on, correct me if I'm wrong, so bigger tires will take away some wheel well gap. KDSS would be my guess also, if you have it. Parking on level ground? If the front settled a bit from the factory, the rear would look taller. We kind of need more info on the vehicle.

your springs might be settling over time and you just noticed it. Also, springs are soft for 4runners, so they tend to sag every which way if the ground isn't even. Lastly, if you have kdss, you will also get weird angles. It could be one of the above or a combination of all 3. Don't let it bother you.

Seems unlikely that KDSS could affect rake -- usually it's only a side-to-side lean issue, if at all. KDSS actuators are on only one side of each sway bar -- it can't push down equally on both sides.

My driveway is not leveled and I do park ass-in so the front is pointed downwards.

I park in a multi-level parking garage every day that has a mild gradient, and it always looks like my 4runner suspension is broken. It looks as if its going to tip over if I view it from the back end. Basically, the 4runner is level but the ground isn't. When you raised your truck, it makes this illusion even more obvious. However, when I park it at work on level ground, my truck looks completely level.

Normal or not - the only way to be sure is to conduct a few tests that you can repeat if necessary. Find a measured level surface, use a full tank of gas. Remove all items from inside that are not original to the vehicle. Make tire pressure the same on all 4. Then measure from all 4 corners or wheel centers to fixed points for reference and see what you get.
