Should be pretty stable on the road. Not sure why you wanted to go THAT high on the caster though.


Per the simpson motorsports alignment guide:

"The more positive castor you run, the better the steering feedback at the wheel. Again this is a trade-off, as too much positive caster will make the steering very heavy in use. It will also cause the inner wheel to rise and the outer wheel to drop resulting in the transfer of weight from the inner wheel to the outer wheel when cornering, resulting in a loss of steering feel. The more positive castor you run, the less the steering will self-centre"

Here are my alignment specs. How did the tech do?

That is about how much caster I was running mine at for the last 2 1/2 years with no mechanical, bump steer or self centering problems. I like the stiffer steering and stability of higher caster.
Here was my last alignment and I couldn't get quite as much caster and keep camber zero with my TC UCA's as I got with the LR's I had on before.

Is the Simpson motorsports alignment guide for race or track cars?
I hav'nt tracked my 4Runner to see if there loss of steering feel in the corners. The alignment shop guy,Ray where I go has been aligning for 30+ years so I tend to listen to what he has to say.

Got my alignment done this week after a 2.5 / 1.5 lift via spacers. Looks like my Caster was left blank. :noidea: Drove on the highway this weekend and it seems to be pulling slightly to the right. Not sure if it's from the crown of the road or not. Anyone mind taking a look at my report and providing some input as to whether or not I should take it back in? Thanks in advance.
