Post-lift Alignment woes

Depending on where that passenger front cam is, that side may be maxed out. Without seeing it, I'm guessing the tech could get a little more camber and caster out of the passenger front cam. Then that side will be maxed out. Next, adjust the driver side so the angles match the passenger side. The cams won't be in the same positions from side to side. That is similar to how my 5th gen ended up. Camburg may build in 2° extra caster but they only do it to the driver side UCA.

I just installed Camburg Moog BJ UCA's a couple months ago and I definitely got about 2 degrees more caster on both sides.
 
Can you please state where you got this misinformation from? ALL aftermarket control arms are built to have the same consistency from left to right. The only exception may be from those that are running in a circle track. And even then they would be custom designed for that chassis and possibly even just for a particular track.

And please understand that I am not berating you. I just don't want wrong information spread.

That's just my experience with Camburg because of what I've seen before and after on the alignment rack. I know they claim an extra 2* of caster, for both sides obviously. It honestly may be just the tolerance on Toyota's end and/or it could be tolerance on Camburg's end. I just know there sure as heck didn't seem like an extra 2* with my passenger side UCA.

I'd say you got lucky then. I will say that my 5th gen drives perfect though. No wandering at all and it can hold a straight line pretty good on a crowned road. It honestly feels like there is much more caster than what was indicated on the alignment rack.

Its not the UCAs... I also have much less adjustment on the drivers side... And I actually switched from Camburgs to TC ball joints (for a different reason). Still the same. Can't get near as much out of the passenger side, although I did gain some. The driver could go to 5+ now, but the passenger is limited to about ~3.5. Several people have told me it is caused by a bent spindle. And I have beat on my truck pretty hard. Whatever the case... it still aligns good enough. Numbers don't matter all that much if it drives good and the tires clear. Think I had ~2.5 with the camburgs still drove great.

I might swap the spindle and weld on the spindle gussets some day. That might solve the mystery...

I think they just come this way from the factory (related to the lean). Also, I have mine pretty level side to side.

In my case, I seriously doubt it is a bent spindle unless they are bent from Toyota, which could be possible but it would fall under "tolerance". Definitely could be a slight variation in how the driver side is forged vs. the passenger side.
 
Is there a consolidated thread with final numbers people have been able to obtain once lifted on a 5th gen..


I have lifted my 19 Limited with a 3" spacer kit ( + all the other goodies, sway bar drop, diff drop, bumpstops etc)

She was driving straight and true post lift but was obvious way to much positive camber

After taking to dealer this afternoon these are the final numbers after 2hrs


Now she pulls left and I must correct at least 2 to 3 deg shearing angle to the right...


Suggestion...perhaps to much cross caster???
They were not willing to set my camber to neg 0.5 to 0......

If you are lifted 3 inches in the front you should be running aftermarket UCAs. Then you'd be able to get your alignment dialed in.
