Post Lift Measurements

Curious to see what you all are getting in terms of lift after swapping the suspension. I gotta say, I am not very impressed with the front end rake I still have with my 2014. I should have took pre measurements so if anyone has the stock measurements for a 2014 TE, I would appreciate it.

2014 TE KDSS w/ Toytec BOSS 285 70 17 Duratracs
RF: 22"
LF: 23"
RR: 25"
LR: 26"

These measurements are from the hub center to the top of the wheel well. I have done some adjusting on the right front and its a huge pain in the ass to do. Also, toytec urges not to go over 3" of lift and im nervous to go much further being that I never took the pre lift measurements. oops.

edit: should also be worth noting, I have rci [steel] engine, trans, and tcase skids installed.

Drivers front: 22 7/16 inches
Drivers rear: 24 3/16 inches
Passenger front: 22 3/16 inches
Passenger rear: 24 1/16 inches

Thanks. Yeah my rear is pretty tall, which makes the front just way sloped. Seems like it doesnt have near as much clearance as my fjc did. I expect this 4runner to be able to hang with any fj with the same set up.

I have the Radflo suspension setup and my rear is much higher than the front. Had to adjust the front a little.

A week. The front needs to settle as well..

why do you say that? they have the same clearance, except for maybe the gas tank. for some reason the 4runner seems taller getting in/out of than my old fj

I say that because right now, I look at it and feel I wouldn.t take it on some of the trails that I took my FJ on. But yes, the undercarriage is basically laid out the same. Im not worried about that part being any different, strictly speaking from post lift appearance.

My pre lift measurements for the Toytec Boss was 19.5" center of hub to the fender in the front and 22" in the rear. Post lift was 22.5 up front and 25" in the rear.

So I decided to go check and I'm at just over 24" front passenger side and right at 24" front driver side. Now I'm concerned I've got the front lifted too much, all though I still have a 1" rake front to rear. I didn't adjust my BOSS kit any from install. Should I be worried? I'm wondering if this could be part of my struggle with alignment. I was fighting a right pull for the longest time after install and it has come back over the last few months.

Mine looks to have quite a bit of rake to me too. I didn't take pre lift measurements.

Toytec Boss with LR UCR's it's been on for about 3 weeks or so.

FR: 22"
FL: 22"
RR: 24.75"
LR: 24.875"

So far I don't have any pulling or strange characteristics. For what it's worth the shop that did my lift said they did the alignment to factory specs.

I made a mistake in my earlier post. My front was 22" and not 22.5" post lift. I just measure it today and it is still 22" up front and 25" in the rear. I've had my loft on for a month now.

If you plan on carrying any gear in the back(camping,offroad etc....)I wouldn't adjust the front to much or you'll get the rear sag when you do load it up.Your headlight will be facing up higher than normal.

Yes this. I loaded my truck down yesterday with about 600 lbs of stuff and it compressed my rear end 3". My lights were pointed up higher than normal and I really seemed to piss other drivers off. Maybe I should have gone with the HD springs for the rear.

Could you guys confirm how you are taking your measurements? I'm really concerned now that I'm running way too much lift up front. I measured again today and I'm getting 24 5/8" Front Passenger and 24 3/8" Front Driver side. If that's correct and I had roughly the same pre lift hight as you other guys (19.5") then I'm at a whopping 5" lift up front! :shocked: Everything looks pretty normal though. No reverse rake or anything.

I thought the BOSS kit was pre-set to 3" from the factory and it looked about right front to back so I've never bothered with it. But seeing these numbers now I'm worried.

Thx for the heads up but I had that in mind when I was adjusting the front. I went camping and wheeling several times with equipments plus my kids in the back. So far so good. Thx again .

Did you ever get this figured out? I'm sure you did and curious what the resolution was as i have very similar measurements after installing the same lift. Nothing crazy here either, but MAYBE the CV angles are a bit high. I've had the lift on for about 2 weeks. Thanks!

I am in the same boat, didn't measure before removal. I bought the Toytec 25Boss kit. The front had a 2 1/2" rake. See images below. The last two show my coilover setup after I adjusted it down to 3/4" rake, worried about the CV's and the lower ball joint.

Install some Airlift 1000's in the rear springs. Run it at 10 when empty, up to 35 when loaded. No sag issues at all. Airlifts are a great investment.

When I bought my '16TE it came with a spacer lift on 285's. Not a big fan of spacer lifts so I swapped it out for the OME lift with light springs up front an mediums's in the rear. I delivered as advertised about 3". I also used the the driver side spacers to level out the truck. Took a saws-all to them and shaved 3/8" off the front spacer and added 1/4" bushings to give be 1/4" correction in front and shaved an 1" off the rear spacer to give me 1" correction. Worked like a champ, now she sits darn near perfectly level.

Mesurments are from the top of the center cap to edge of wheel well and ground to wheel well.

LF-22", 39" overall RF-22" , 39 1/8" overall

LR-23", 40 1/8 overall RR-23 1/8" 40 1/4" overall
