Finally getting mine cleaned up and ready to go. New Clutch and rear main seal. Valve covers and CAI, new plugs and wires. Massive amounts of cleaning! Running like a top. Suspension is ordered and may go in this weekend.

Dat Desert Dune! I wasn't totally crazy about the color at first, but my 4Runner had all of the options, service records, and condition I wanted. Now that I've had desert dune for a bit, I realize it's the best color for going months without a proper wash. It also sure looks good against contrasting satin black armor.

While it was quite expensive, I'm visually pleased with the outcome, it's actually one of the first "mods" I did :laugh:

Did you do a rear disc brake conversion a few years back on another 4R? I subscribed, but I never saw an update...? Nice to see new projects by experienced enthusiasts!!

Thanks. Yes it was me that did the rear disc conversion. I ended up converting to fror’s Full float conversion but still haven’t got the ebrake hooked up but soon hopefully. This rig is going to be my wife’s off road crawler. I began to do the suspension tonight. Billies with tundra coils up front and 8 wraps in the rear. I will post pics when done

She's at the Dealer now getting the list of things done in the link above. I've had her almost 2 yrs now and I LOVE THIS YOTA. I had a 91 SR5 yrs ago and regretted getting rid of her. 3" lift going on very soon.
Wheels will be Method 301s 17x9 -12 Offset. Wrapped in 295/70 Duratracs.

So I spent the day putting a lift under the wife's DuneRunner.
Billie's w/ Tundra coils on the 3rd pearch
LC 8 warps w/ LC black shocks.
Still need to install PCK and get an alignment.
And at some point tires.
Then the Dual Cases sitting in the garage

I really like that fender trim over the big black trim that came on mine, gives it a nice clean look.
I totally agree. Its subtle but very classic imo. The Limited flares and the flares you are refering to are just to big for me. While it ( the bigger flares) runs with the body lines nicely, its just to much for my tastes. I like simple, mechanical accents on this model SUV.
When I had my 99 Cherokee sport I removed the flares and trimmed the fenders. It was one of the first mods I did.
