There are some seriously awesome and creative solutions in here! I'm after something very specific in the way of security, so just ordered a TruckVault setup. Pricey, but I definitely don't have the skills to put something like this together with the confidence that it'll be as secure as their setup, and certainly not in the timeframe. Keep up the great work!

Would 100lb rated drawer sliders work for this? It sounds like it’s enough but want to make sure. I know it all depends on what I use it for, but just generally. When you get over that the price jumps dramatically.

Add the weight of the drawer, plus a bit of a safety factor, and depending on what you're carrying, 100lb slides may be enough, or they may not be... When I was considering drawers I was looking at 250lb-400lb slides as each drawer would probably hold 50-70lbs on a regular basis

i wouldn't store propane tanks inside your vehicle, that's not safe

I'd love to build something I can fit a few shotguns in for when I go hunting. That way I can have them hidden away and yet have a storage base above for ice chest, etc. These look awesome.

50-70lbs on average; "trip loaded" probably 120-150lbs per side; only having a 50lb cushion (200lb slides) seems a bit slim when you're considering a 36" full extension and the inevitable fact that some extra amount of weight will accidentally (or intentionally) be applied to the very end of the drawer at some point

I remember seeing a post (may have been in a build thread) where a guy built a set of drawers, with a pull out table top/cutting board/prep area, where he was kind enough to list the materials used, etc. Anyone have an idea where that might be?

It's nothing fancy but came out as I expected. Raised platform is even with the back seats folded down. I wanted access to my tool kit, jumper cables, and tow strap so I made the rear load tray. Drawers would have been nice but there was no room with keeping the deck low. I didn't even have room for a door and just used bungee cords. Rear tray is 36x13x2.75, middle compartment is 36x14.5x4, and front compartment is 36x10x4. I'm still trying to decide what to do with the rear corner pockets.
