Toyota Designers spend years developing a new vehicle -- they spend countless hours making design decisions to balance the appearance of a vehicle. Then Joe Shmoe smacks some poorly designed huge rims on it, and thinks it looks awesome. I don't see the same sort of cult following for someone who puts 33" mud terrain tires on a BMW 7 series --- even though it is just as out of place.

Not too mention they also hurt acceleration,braking,MPGs and overall handling and puts undo stress on the spindles and associated parts and they pay several thousand to put form over function.
Some wheels do look cool but it is a dumb fad. I don't mind some of the 4th gens with 20"s on 'em but once you go over that it's sort of goofy looking. To each his own and "rice" away if you can afford it.

People do what THEY want to do... your opinion dosen't matter. That is the beauty of living as an individual.
Every car designer spends years developing a new vehicle, be it honda, toyota, nissan whatever. You just hate on what you don't like. Period.
Just because you like to offroad or whatever in your 4runner dosen't mean the next guy likes that. There is a HUGE following of suv owners that prefer big deep chrome rims over 33" mudders and a lift kit. Like I said before... the beauty of being an individual in this world.
Now go drive your $40,000 suv in the mud and think your a bad man.

I really don't like driving my 32,000 SUV through the mud. I do like taking it out to the desert/mountains from time to time. I'm far from the "bad man" you describe me as. I just like to take in some nice scenery now and then. My truck is all stock -- not a hillbilly setup.

I actually just bought a universal sheet that APC makes and cut it to fit. It worked out perfectly for the top and bottom. I then just screwed it into the grille of the 4runner. I need to take it off and add some sort of reinforcement to it though as it is warping a little. You can check out the universal sheets HERE

I live in Las Vegas also and I am at the University almost every day and I have never seen your 4Runner. I think I would be blinded by the reflection of all that shiny chrome from the desert sun!

Where as "Bling" means the excessive or over decoration of something i.e. Big Rims, Lotsa Chrome, Candy Paint
And I'm pretty sure none of these guys have been into the Offroad threads talkin crap about how dumb it is or calling yall trailer Queens or anything like that, my momma always told me "if you don't have something productive to say then keep your mouth shut" tough love I guess but why harp on these guys there are some good lookin rides in here and chances are they don't like yours to much but once again they aren't in the off road thread talkin about how much they don't like it... just my two pennies
