For all that are interested, I was jyst on Rigid's website and their upper and lower grills to house led's for the 2010-2013 4runner are on sale.

+1 for Rago hidden LED mount. All in one kit and easy to install. Just installed this past weekend so haven’t had a chance to get cool pics like 007Tacoma... yet

How was the install? Did you have to trim the valence that they say needs trimmed?

Got it used at a local rack shop :thumb3: But you can purchase them new!

Install was very easy. The only trimming I had to do was on the two plastic liner pieces behind the grill that you need to slide the brackets thru.

Most difficult part of the install for me was fishing the wire through the firewall. It was a pain

Thanks for the info, does anyone have any pics or info on what needs trimmed? Or a pic without the bumper on? The video on Rago's website is not very clear what needs trimmed

Any idea if their dimensions are the same as the Chinese bars or would you be stuck using one of Rigid’s bars?

Sorry, no clue. I used the Rago behind the grill mounts and Black Oak bar. I think the grill inserts look good though.

I used like many others the Cali Raised brackets. I chose the rigid radience 30” adual stage Amber backlit bar. Main light is spot only. Flood to me is worthless honestly since I’m mostly looking for large wildlife on the road... the instructions say to remove the bumper cover... er no.... get yourself a 24”Extension a friend with small hands to cut a little plastic and you can do it all from above. It takes a little longer but, to hell with taking the bumper cover off. I also bought the two switch harness from rigid and ran it through the firewallrubber knockout, I used a pre-threaded hole on the driver side engine bay to mount the relay etc... I love this light, I roll it all the time with just the amber, breaks necks like a mofo! Hahahaha

Does the amber backlighting project across the light bar as it appears in the pictures or just on each end? Now that you've had this setup for a while would you do anything different next time? Many thanks.

Yup, the amber lights runs across the length of the bar. The ambers in the ends are slightly brighter since they light up the “rigid” emblems. There is a two stage switching harness that you’ll need. They are button toggle switches so they just mount in an open space above the hook latch release. I used a small hole saw (carefully) then popped the switches in. I wouldn’t change anything about the setup. The radience is a spot at 30” lights up down field and you don’t need flood IMO. I use it to spot elk and deer in the road. Saved my ass several times...

Here is another 32" lightbar. Used aluminum strips to make brackets that attach to the aluminum crash bar. We were pretty much forced to remove all the plastic in the front to get this thing in.

How useful is the light bar? Been considering it, but not sure if its worth the trouble/cost. Will be upgrading fogs to baja designs soon, so not sure if the additional light bar would be necessary.

I find mine quite useful, mostly because we're usually scouting for camping sites at night and more light always helps. Only use it a few times a year, but for what I paid for my setup (22" OPT7 bar, brackets from [MENTION=133346]BradBrad619[/MENTION], AOB switch, <$200 total) I'm quite happy with it.

I'm not sure they'd fit the Rago brackets without modification, from what I've seen the Ragos position pretty close to the grille mesh, however they can adjust front to back, so it's hard to say for sure. Maybe email them, I know they're pretty active on this forum
