Hey guys! As the title states....post your Satoshi mod pics! I've seen a few of you guys sporting the Satoshi grill, and thought...."Why not have a thread that has everyone's versions in it"!

I for one....haven't done the mod, but guys like Blcktpgsr, Brianemc2_42, BigFish, and many more have...so let's see em!

Here is mine. Eventually I plan on spending the $65 for the FJ-40 "Toyota" emblem.

Great idea. I've been toying with the thought, but don't want to cut my grill to pieces just yet. Suppose I need to find a spare grill, but interested in seeing the different takes on the mod from you guys.

I personally love the Satoshi grille mod, this was from my old 4runner. Planning to get another 4runner when the right one comes up and probably will also do the mod to it as well. I am a fan of the blanked grille look.<P>

I've posted this before, but here's what I did on my stock 2002 sport grille, although not technically a "Satoshi" mod. I just cut out all the gray ribs in the open sections and replaced with a piece of perforated metal. Looks a lot cleaner in my opinion, and the perforated metal matches what is inside the hood scoop "opening".

Where did you get the material from? I like how it matches the hood scoop. I did the same thing as you did but I used some cheap crap from home depot and I think it looks cheap so I need to re-do it.


Here's mine. I did the lower valance as well. And put some behind the emblem.

Forgive me if it's been posted before (I promise I have searched quite a few of the Satoshi threads), but how does the mesh fasten to the grill? I noticed a couple of people used zip ties, but I'd like something more secure that can't be seen. Flame away!

I bent the gutter guard around the inner most lip of the grill and used some small bolts to secure it. I would take some pics but I traded my grill to another forum member.

I used perforated aluminum sheet from Mcmaster.com. I think it was part number 9232T131. Check it out.

I epoxied some pieces of plastic to the back of the grille around the outside edges of the openings. Then drilled holes into the plastic pieces that lined up with the holes in the mesh. Then ran screws into the plastic to hold the mesh.
