Here is my grill mod! Pretty happy with the results.





Not the best pic but you all get the idea.LOL


Used an aftermarket grill. Grill is pretty good quality except like others said the tabs don't fit in the frame. Had to dremel them down. Also I ditched those dumb clips! I tried using them but I wasn't comfortable on how secure they were. I used zip ties. That grill is NOT coming off anytime.

I am considering a Satoshi mod but my 99 grille doesn't look like I could hack it easily and get a good result.

Stupid question: Would a 98 grille fit on a 99 ?

Yea, maybe your right. Need to get some of those freedom stickers also.:usa:

I don't know, but I don't care for the chrome at all. Maybe chemical strip it if it doesn't ruin the plastic beneath it.

Get the grill for the 4cyl runner. Theres no chrome to mess with. All plastic.

eBay seller got back to me, they don't have the "correct" grille (without chrome)

I'll either keep looking or wait, it's not critical

$53 delivered and no chrome to strip is cheaper than eBay and less hassle

I assume it doesn't come with grille clips, but those are cheap

Just came across this thread. I did my grille several years ago and it cost me $5 for the metal screen, $6 for paint and $12 for the emblem mail ordered.

Dupli-Color Perfect Match at auto parts stores is around $7-8 a can for 10oz
