Where can I buy the 40 series TOYOTA emblem that's flat on the back to stick to the grille? Also, what do people use to adhere the emblem to the grille itself? Thanks

I ordered the 40 Series emblem off ebay and used some bolts, washers and zip ties to hold mine in place. Been about a year and no issue.

Could I use an epoxy or some sort? JB weld? 3M tape?

You could but I wouldn't. I've taken my grille apart at least once since making it to repaint. I just unbolt the badge and go.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you attach the emblem to the grill? I was hoping to glue it, but would it only be on these 3 contact points?

I used a different style emblem,but I attached the emblem by drilling holes in the mesh and using “spacers” to take up the slack,and used screws.

Hey thanks man! Ya, I started by drafting out the letters on paper. I liked the look the fj 40 emblem, but wanted the letters to be stretched a little wider than they are tall. After drawing up the size and shape I liked for the letters, I traced them onto the plastic, and then cut everything out by hand. It would have been so much easier with the right tools. But I used what I had available. I like the white on black, and I especially like the size. From T to A its 18.5". The aluminum strip was the only thing I had to buy, so I leterally spent like $6 on the entire project!

Hey was wondering if you don't mind if I barrow your idea for the grille. I have friend who works with plexi-glass and all other kinds of plastic and for him to draft me some letters would be effortless. But as this was your concept I'd like to get permission before I use it.
