Satoshi grill

Just installed the Satoshi grill, since mine is a 1999 I had to remove the clips that came with the grill I ordered since they were too thicccc and would not pop in place. I just went with zip ties, ran them through the holes on the frame and the grill, it secured it flush and sturdy. Definitely gives it a different look!

Use the clips. What exactly doesn't fit?

Dude,I tried using them since I wanted it to be a quick plug and play deal but it didnt go as planned. It would not pass the holes in the frame, the little cylinders that hold the clips where to fat and did not want to pop through the openings on the metal frame. I tried sanding it a little and even using a dremel but it did not help so I just removed the little metal clips and went with zip ties, it was quick and easy lol and they actually do a great job holding it, I tried wiggling it and it wont budge its on there solid.

I used a hand file and in 3-4 passes per top and bottom of each clip tower it fit. Took 5 mins or less. Try it.

Take the clips out when filing and test-fitting, then install the clips and mount to car.

I'll give it a shot over the weekend. Good thing I kept the clips see I would want it to be legit and clip in like the original one Ill see how it goes. Thanks for the advice dude!

Although not Satoshi related, I really like the light bar mounting on Timmytimtim 2000. Would love to see a video on that particular mod

Too many fix-it threads and not enough fun diy content lately...
My tribute to the glory days of T4R.org and to the real glory days of Toyota mods :tongue1:
(The front end certainly gets most of my dumber ideas)

There's some interesting stuff going on there...curious as to what gets strapped to the hood?

haha, that's usually the head-scratcher mod...

Had a new employee that needed to learn how to install sheetmetal
track, so I volunteered my hood. I do use it sometimes with a
stretch web/net for soggy clothing, winch rope, etc. ala Camel Trophy
