Potential good deal but maybe some issues

I'm waiting on the delivery of a 2010 SR5 to my local Carmax. About 35K on the ODO and looks to be in pretty good shape with a couple of issues that are cosmetic. Hoping that what looks like a kid spill on the second row armrest and maybe overenthusiastic trim blackout around the headlights don't point to more serious issues.

Should be delivered in a week or so, then, if I can't find anything obviously wrong, to the Toyota dealership for a going over.

Anyone recognise this one?

I've wanted a 4Runner since the late 90s when I bought my V8 Explorer. She's been a great vehicle, no problems to speak of in the couple hundred thousand I've got on the clock.....but it's time to move on.

If the 4R looks good, I'm game for some mods!!!

hmm that spill looks like it leaked thru from the cup holders. or it could be ice cream on the spot where the console sits on the 2nd row.

i would double check the leak thru, for funny stuff growing inside.

Yeah, replacing tires I don't mind.

And, while I know that Toyota was heavy handed with the chrome; I'm not sure I can live with the total blackout.

35k for a used sr5? I got my new 2014 sr5 with nav for 35.5k otd.
One with 3rd row no nav should be about the same for a new one.

Looks decent to me. If you get bit by the bug and start making it a more offroad oriented truck you will want to kill the chrome because it sort of looks too street oriented with it on. The chrome gives it more of a Limited look... If it is plasti dip, you can just peel it off.

I would not bother taking it to a toyota dealer to get it checked out. It would just be a waste of money IMHO. Unlikely, that they will tell you anything of value (not even sure they would spend any time on it, just take your money).

That stain on the seat will probably come right out. Mine had a similar looking stain on the top that came out no problem. Not sure if they had detailed it yet... but I found that most used car dealers, including toyota certified... do a horrible detail job. They do the minimal job and just don't care. You would think someone who does it for a living would take some pride.... but
