Hopefully this will save someone else the aggravation I dealt with.
Ok, my power antenna broke a while back and this last month I decided to fix it. I purchased the part off eBay with the description " OEM Replacement Antenna Mast". Well I assumed it was OEM, but no, it's only meant to replace an existing OEM mast. It was not OEM, and of coarse it didn't work. Send back wait for credit. In the mean time I ordered one from Camelback Toyota and installed it today. It works great, with perfect fit.
note:
I did get refunded by eBay seller, no problem.
The eBay mast cost $14.50
Camelback Toyota mast cost $52.75 (but it works, so I'm happy)
.......having to remove and replace the wheel well shrouds & guards (3) times to get to the antenna motor sux, but all's good again.
