Well winter is here and as expected I'm starting to have problems with my power antenna icing up.
I used to have a Probe and I found an occasional good wipedown with WD-40 did the trick, I'm hoping that will help the 4Runner as well although it hasn't done much good so far.
Since I have the second antenna in the back side window, reception isn't a problem. I'm just worried about burning out the motor, since right now it doesn't go all the way up or all the way down. Has this been a problem for anyone? I hate power antennas, they are a worthless expensive gizmo IMO.
If it does break I'll simply replace it with a regular mast, so I'm not too concerned. Just curious.
