Power backup mirror swap

So my wife's 05 gx470 has this neat feature where the side mirrors point down when you shift the truck into reverse. I found some replacement power mirrors on amazon and I wanted to try to put them on my 07 4runner. a

Anyone ever try this? Couldn't find any threads on that specific swap.

Well...i just realized that i have the perfect donor vehicle. I can pull the ones off my wife's GX470 and see what happens...

You're gonna need new wiring, I think that function is controlled through the body control module as well... I'd see if you can snag a EWD of the GX470 as I believe it's a bit more complex than just running a reverse signal to the mirrors.

I have an EWD book for a 2009 GX470. I'll take a look in the next day or two and see what I can find.
