I have an 95 Camry V6 that needs its brake fluids flushed. Since I have an 07 V8 4runner also, I was hoping to get a unit that can work on both. I was going to get the Motive Universal Power Bleeder with 1101 adaptor, but have been reading about how the 4runner's reservoir is too large to fit the 1101. What do do now? Is vacuum bleeding using the Motive extractor a viable option or will this introduce air into the lines? The nice thing about getting the vacuum bleeder is that I can use it for both the Camry and 4runner, whereas if I get the Power Bleeder, I can only use it on the Camry. I would rather not mess with modifying the Power bleeder if possible. Thanks a lot!

I've not used a vacuum bleeder.
Earlier this year when I flushed the Camry and the 4Runner brake systems, I used a Motive bleeder on the Camry and the homemade tool in this thread for the 4Runner. Personally, I was disappointed in the Motive bleeder -- it created a big mess because I couldn't get it perfectly on the fluid reservoir.

I ordered it this weekend anyways. I found a solution that will probably work. I'm going to get a replacement cap for the reservior and drill a hole in it and seal it with a pipe fitting and then connect that to the Motive unit. I believe this should work:

But I don't have to worry about it on my 07 for a couple of years. But I have to do my Camry soon.

I used the Motive on my 2001 Runner which has a much larger resorvoir. I made a modified attachment (search for Motive) with parts from Home Depot for about ten bucks and it worked fine. I used the Motive to provide 15 psi and the larger resorvoir held the fluid. No problems.
