Power but no crank 93 4runner 3.0l

Hi all,
One morning went out to start it and it did nothing. No crank, no clicks from the starter or anything. Battery was not dead. Lights come on, radio, all work fine. When I turn the key to the "on" position, the door chime stops, when I turn further to "start" position, the dash clock dims but nothing else happens at all. I replaced the battery and the starter and cleaned all connections to each thoroughly. What could be going on? Never had any problems starting at all before this. My thought was either ignition switch or alarm system? Thanks for any help

Be sure your grounds are clean from the motor to the frame.
When you check the presence of electricity at the starter and the starter solenoid, what do you have?
Find someone experienced with jumpering the connections at the starter solenoid and see what they find.
I'm guessing you have a connection wrong at the starter solenoid.
