Power door lock problem.

For the rear door I GENTLY used a pliers to push the end of the rod out. Remember, really old plastic and door handles aren't cheap.

how do i get these damn rods out???

The yellow one is ready, yes you have to pry gently, carefully with force. That's why those body shops make the big bucks! haha, actually we just ordered new clips and didn't waste time. They are like 3 or 4 bucks from Toyota!

:noidea:

Following up on this thread to see how things turned out and if it fixed your power door lock issue.

I've experienced similar symptoms discussed in the various "power door lock issue" threads where one or more of the door locks won't fully lock or unlock. I've also experienced this in my lift gate.

As others have stated, it does seem to occur more frequently with warmer weather but I have also experienced this multiple times during the winter. Never got around to attempting to fix it b/c there were other maintenance projects that were higher on my to do list but have been reviewing the different suggestions to prioritize the least time consuming/cheaper fixes to the more involved.
