Can anyone help me? I have a 2000 Limited and the power locks just guit working. The power unlock still works but the power lock doesn't. What's funny is that if you open the driver's door and press the power lock, all the doors UNLOCK. This makes me think that it's not the switch, it's something else. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

DUDE, im having the same exact problem! The damn doors will not lock at all.
With remote or either door switches.

I have googled this and they all say it is a fuse (ENTIRE FUSE ASSEMB under dash) that is connected to ECU.

I hope that is wrong because that costs $500!!!!

Someone please help!

normally if you lock the driver's door and all the doors pop open again, it means you left your key in the ignition.

i'm not saying your key is still in there, because it's probably not...but look at that system to verify it's working as designed

No this is common Toyota problem. Cant lock it with remote either. you can hear the fuse box trying to lock it but it wont do anything.

I have searched again and found more threads with this problem.

Thanks though.

It is your fuse junction box. It needs to be replaced. It is located under the dash.

Ridiculous solution that works!!

I have found a ridiculous solution for this door lock issue. As many people have mentioned, it does involve the control panel under the driver side dash. I noticed that if I pushed the control panel/fusebox in while working the key fob and/or door lock switch, IT WORKED! So, my silly solution was to insert a t-ball (regulation size) between the fusebox/control panel and the paneling closest to the driver on the top side of the fusebox. IT WORKS!!

Glad I didn't spend $500 for Toyota dealer to fix.

Hope my son doesn't miss his t-ball!!

Couldn't you just add an aftermarket ALARM/security system that has a button which turns the engine on and/or a kill switch?

I literally just bought my 2002 limited and it has this problem, like i bought it today, and was walking into the gun show when i noticed the door lock and key fob didnt lock it. of course everything else works, but also i just noticed the fog lights dont work either.....

Anyone have the part number for the fuse block assembly? I got Part# 82730-35320 from the toyota stealership but hoping thats not theright one, as they qouted me $567 for the part.... Thanks!

Well i just went ahead and bought the fuse block assembly and installed it. Took about 35 mins total, but as soon as i hooked it all up, locks work fine now! PROBLEM SOLVED!

Anymore updates on this?

My 2002 every now and then doesn't want to lock. It will unlock with the key fob, but never locks back. If I wait a hour or so or drive the truck it will finally start working again. I haven't tried pushing the fuse box back and fourth but I will shortly.

Problem seems to be getting worse. Is it possible to replace the fuse box with one out of a junkyard? Dont really want to drop $500 just to be able to lock my doors....

Mine is starting to have that intermittent problem. What I have found that works(At least for me) when it doesn't want to lock, is to press the unlock button then press the lock button so it knows to unlock and then to lock. If that makes any sense.

Same here. I have to manually lock all the doors just about everytime now. And I have an alarm too! So the power lock feature on the alarm remote is basically useless!

Yea thanks, I saw. It just doesn't seem worth it to me to pay $567 for the fuse block. If that's the only option, then worst case scenario, junkyard.
