Power window problem - '95 4runner

Hello, I am having an issue with my master window switch. Currently my driver's side window will not roll up or down. I also cannot control any other windows from the master switch. All other windows work from their respective switches. I have replaced the switch once with a new one and nothing changed. I know the motor works because I have manually rolled it up connecting the motor directly to the battery. Interestingly enough the window lock and door lock, which is part of the same switch, DOES work. Today I noticed that if one of the other windows is being rolled up or down from its own switch, and I use the master switch to try and roll it the opposite way it is being moved, it pauses the window movement until I release the button on the master switch. I am confused... If anyone has any suggestions I would reallllly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Did you get this fixed? Sounds like your door control relay located in near under the dash near the clutch is bad. It could be a couple of solder runs need repairing, it could need a cleaning or it could be toast on the driver circuit. This is a common issue right now. Take a gander at all the window threads going right now and you may see some other ideas.

Not sure how your question got missed. I only saw it cause I was searching for another thread to provide in a separate post.

Not trying to thread jack or anything but will that realy cuase one window not to work? Cuz my driver winow won't do anything though I haven't got to extensive to on it since other mechanical repair are needed.. just figured it could be something to look into when I get to that point... kinda like to my homework before I jump into something

A faulty door control relay could give you all kinds of different issues. Mine was preventing my pass window from rolling down regardless of which switch was used. The driver window worked fine as well as the door locks for both doors. I removed and cleaned it and it began working intermittently. Took a couple more adjustments/cleanings to get it to work consistently but even now only the pass switch will operate the pass window. Rather than try to fix it, since I can lean over and push the pass button from the driver seat, I will be switching to roll up windows at some point.

Could his problem be something else? Yeah it could be a bad wire or something but that it why I suggested looking at the other window threads. Lots of other things to look at when you really get into it.
