Power Windows Don't Work

I recently purchased a little project 1993 4Runner for myself and I am starting to do some work on it. From what I can tell the guy that I boight it off was terrible at electrical. All kinds of weird electrical stuff going on.

Dash lights stay on all the time. I have to leave the Dome fuse out.
Had to turn the lights on to get stereo to work. Fixed that one.

The power windows will not work on any door at anytime. I have been doing a few checks and completely took the master switch apart and cleaned all the contacts. I am getting power to the switch but not one window will role down or up.

If someone has a fix for this please let me know. I am going to print off the Service manual tomorrow and check with my meter.

If this sounds like something you have come across and fixed then please let me know.

By the looks of it this happens a lot.

After trying to figure out a bunch of electrical issues with my 1993 4Runner I have now found numerous electrical issues.

Is this normal for these? Almost seems like someone has messed around with everything.

I owned a BMW X5 once and they have these electrical modules in there that are $2,000 a piece. I had a few go and it caused a bunch of crazy electrical issues. Almost feels like that is happening here.

Does anyone know if there is some electrical modules or control relays that burn out or corrode and cause all kinds of electrical issues?

Someone, Anyone, Bueller, Bueller???

The only electrical issues I have seen with these are in the knock sensor harness. Usually caused by mice... but that is it.

You might not have enough voltage going to the switch to make it work??? It could be anything if the wires are messed up bad enough.

Do the tests and see whats up.

Good luck
