Powered Subwoofer Positioning?

Hey gents. Got my wife a powered subwoofer for Christmas for her 4Runner.

Where would you recommend I mount it out of these two locations?
-under the seat
-rear storage area

She will probably only jam when the two kiddos are not in the vehicle with her. She likes to crank it to blow off some steam when she's kid free for a while.

Thanks

Just depends on your preference really. Both are good spots.

Some cons to the rear storage area would be that it takes up cargo room, and could possibly be seen by thieves (this would be easy to negate... tint, cargo cover, etc..)

Some cons to under-seat would be lost foot room, blocking under-seat vents, the boom would rattle your passenger bum (could be a pro for some )

I personally go with the under seat option, leaving me all the room in the rear for cargo.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I'm leaning toward under the seat for all the reasons you suggested.

I was thinking of mounting it on its side to the rear storage plastic sidewall. Using heavy duty Velcro strips and maybe bending some flat strap to "bolt" it down with some self-tapping screws? That was I'm not losing storage space.
