Powering an aftermarket stereo

My new Pioneer car stereo has a large, inline fused, power lead that wants a battery connection; it's about a 16-18ga yellow wire.

Should I run a new power feed from the battery?
Grab good power from near the radio, and if so, where?
Wire stereo BAT power to the existing harness and call it a day?

Wire the existing power wire to the new harness and call it a day.

It'll work fine. I currently have a 45x4 Watt amp hooked up to the stock power wire, that's 2 to 3 times more powerful than a normal head unit.

Spliced into the adapter harness and moved on. Thanks gents [emoji106]
