prinsu design roofrack

I love the look, the cost, and the functionality of this rack. The only concern for me too is drilling into my roof.

I'm curious on how the front of a Gobi rack mounts and if I could just fab a bracket to rest in the same spot you should drill to help absorb the weight. Anyone got any ideas or pics on how other racks mount towards the front?

It's a foot with a sticky pad. No drilling.

I got in on the group buy over at TacomaWorld, but decided that I didn't want the rack. If anyone wants my spot in line, just let me know and I can send you the ordering info.

I have this rack with a Tepui RTT on it. I will get some pictures up tonight on my build thread as I just got it on last week and tested it out this weekend in the San Rafael Swell in Utah. Mounting the RTT the first time is a bit of a pain due to the low clearance but as mentioned, it's easy to remove the crossbars when you want to take it off. The nice thing is it is low profile and a clean design. It held the weight of my Tepui Ruggedized Autana and me just fine. While you may only mount it to 2 or 3 of the crossbars, the rest of the crossbars help support the weight of the tent. As far as the drilling, I was working on a non-drill option but ran out of time and ended up drilling my roof. I'm sure you could fab up a foot with a stick pad like the Gobi and be fine.

Awesome looking rack!!! I'd definitely be in for a group buy as well. When the dust settles over in the tacomaworld GB, might be worth taking a poll here for one.

It would be very tight but I believe you could make it fit. I didn't try before I switched from the 3/4 to the full length.

I'm wondering the same, if anyone can confirm an RTT will fit the 3/4 length rack- please do so! I'm looking at a CVT Mt Shasta on a 3/4 prinsu.

Just a shot in the dark but since you switched to the full length setup, would you still happen to have the 3/4 setup? Possibly for sale?

Question, will it interfere with the sunroof?

I actually swapped the 3/4 for the full length with Zach @ PrinSu. I'm not sure if he planned to sell it or use it on his own T4R.
