Still waiting for my Track #
You and me both. I heard from Zach last on 3/27, he indicated he was still trying to complete the orders and get them out. Per his email, he said there were '2-3 others' as well.

he told me, via email, on the 28th that he was waiting for a few 4th gen pieces to ship in and then they would go out. There are a few of us left. all in the same boat and assume all will go well given a little more time.
Damn id like my rack though!

Yes, Zach does them once a year.
This one was done in December, so more than likely the next one will be in late fall.

I got in contact with him through email. Really like the TREDs mount how did you get them up there drilling through the crossbars with the locking pins?
Anyone heard from Zach recently? Been calling him the last 2 weeks, trying to get a status update on the 1“x1" bar I ordered for the rear.
Side note, got my TRED Pro's and Krazy Beaver shovel mounted up this weekend

He seems to be very selective on who he gets back to. I've sent him 3 emails about the shark fin placement on the 5th gen 4runner, but he hasn't responded. I followed up with a voicemail, no response. It really pisses me off because I bought a rack that doesn't have the correct parts for my truck.Anyone heard from Zach recently? I have help install 2 of his racks, one on a 2010 and one on a 2016. The antenna is not located in the same spot. I even found a guy with a 2014 and had him measure it. The 10 and 14 were the same. Toyota made a change somewhere between 2015 and 2016.
I'm trying to help Zach avoid problems going forward by providing him with solid info on what he needs to include vs what he is providing.
I have a friend who is getting a set of Zach's new awning brackets. He has been in contact with him during the same timeframe no less than 3 or 4 times. It's really frustrating that he seems to pick and choose who he responds to. I finally gave up on him providing the correct parts and just ordered the correct rear support bar. It's not the money that bothers me, it's the way he just out right ignores problems. I hope I don't have to wait a couple of weeks to get the correct parts shipped out.
I hope you get yours soon, I guess him not keeping up to date on model year changes makes him mad. Typical designer business owner. He has a great design mind, but has no idea how to run a business. I wish one of the larger rack companies would get their shit together and make a good looking rack!

I purchased a set of the Maxtrax mounting pins (4) since they were $50, compared to $60 for a (2) pin mounting bracket from TRED. Then I picked up a piece of aluminum 1.25"x1.25" right angle channel. The piece I picked up was 1/8" thick, which ended up being too thin for the mounting pins' threaded studs, causing the lock nuts to bottom out before tightening down and preventing rotation. (3) washers for each pin fixed the problem, so either get a thicker piece of right angle or grab some extra washers. You can get some 1/4" carriage bolts or 1/4" t-nuts, similar to how the front fairing attaches to the rack. My only concern, is that I think the TRED Pro's are either thicker or don't nestle as tightly as the Maxtraxs do, so it doesn't look like I'll be able to fit a full second set (4 TRED's total) like you can with Maxtraxs.

Yeah, I think you're right. When my rack arrived slightly damaged from UPS, he was pretty quick to respond. As soon as I let him know that the rack was gonna be ok, he stopped responding..

He had to ship me out an entire new rack. UPS sent me a notice stating they weren't going to deliver it because it was damaged. Maybe he just hates us because his packaging sucks and somehow we are to blame? Good luck on your parts. Maybe he'll read these posts and get off his high horse and ship the bars. As you can tell, I'm a bit chapped about the whole thing. I'm done now!

He got back to me today. He told me it was going to be next Monday before he would be able to pick up any 1 x 1's. FYI, you are going to be waiting a bit longer. I hope he was able to get back to you as well.

I couldn't agree with you more.
He gets his extrusion from T-slots. Go to their website and see if you have a local distributor. You are looking for 650100 series extrusion. 1"x 1", solid sides, .20" center hole. If you can get a 1/4-20 tap, you can have it cut to 47", tap the hole and move on. I'm getting a clear anodized section because I'm milling a drop in hole for 1/4 carriage bolts to drop into the slots. I'm getting them stripped and re-anodized after the milling. I won't have to take the rack apart to reconfigure the eye bolts, just unscrew, move to the hole, pop it out and back in the next slot that works. It will make everything much less painful over time.
