Are you saying that you mounted these aluminum strips to the crossbars but withheld it a few millimeters from it touching the bottom of the hardshell of the rooftop tent? Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Don't you want the rooftop tent to rest on top of the crossbars to get a full weight distribution across the rack?

No, I meant that these fabricated washers were no wider than the metal rails embedded in the bottom of the tent that the mounting bolts slide into.

I didn't want my rough cut aluminum sitting on the fiberglass body as it might puncture or crack it. the tent will still rest on the crossbars and the side rails as before, but you'll be able to mount the crossbars to the side rails without having that block of wood as a spacer. You can use these washers sitting directly on the mounting rails with the mounting bolts running through them. The weight of the tent will still cause it to rest on the crossbars and side rails as before.

Does this make sense?

Can you take closer pictures of the attachments from the RTT to the Prinsu Roofrack.

Also I have a 270Deg Batwing Awning, anyone know how to mount this with the IKamper? What brackets do ya'll use? Trying not to have to fabricate them myself.
